Overwhelmed by Grace

[Supporters: I apologize for the ambiguity of this update: we were advised by our legal counsel to remove some of the details while our case is still pending.]

Just like that.

Just like that, our lives have been changed.

With words… words on a page...Words have healed, words have scarred. Words have bound up. and Words.have.FREED.

I’ve never felt more weight lifted off me at one single time in my life. I cried, yes, and I laughed– at the same time. :) (This is becoming more and more common.)

God’s grace simply overwhelms me and his love continues to astound me.

Behind the scenes, He was at work in many hearts. Yea, that’s how He moves. Faith was required, because so much was unseen. But we are so humbled by the obedience of those hearts.

This is our hope: No deportation. No more separation. The end of probation. He truly is a NEW CREATION.

Naz isn’t home yet, and we don’t have any indication of a when he will be. He does have a master hearing (this is like a check-up; it isn’t the individual, final hearing) Thursday at 8am and our attorney is submitting the paperwork and we’ll just have to wait and see how swiftly God moves this along!! :) Either way we are blessed!!

We knew that our Lord would prove faithful, and Naz’s integrity and character throughout these past 6 years had been seen by our heavenly Father. We held to PSALMS 37:6 as our hope and promise and He fulfilled it! Our God never fails!!

“He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.”

God is truly our Redeemer.
Keep praying for swift action– it works!!!

LOVE, Hope

You do not know me, but my husband and I are friends of Justin and Desi’s. They shared your story with us and we have been following and have prayed for you and Naz. Words cannot express how thrilled I am for you both right now. I had prayed for Naz to be freed, but now he is free and will have the felony charge dropped. As my husband and I read this tonight, I was reminded of how our God gives us his best, instead of what we thought was better. Thank you for sharing your story and reminding me of that. I am amazed by what He can do.

Psalm 107:6 – Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses.

When I heard what happened it broke my heart Hope. I know God was pleased with your continued faith during the whole process. It’s so relieving to hear he’s being released! I’m super happy for you and so glad that God showed Himself so faithful (not that He wouldn’t have of course). Best of luck to the both of you.
